The Financial Services Institute (FSI) announced Monday that it has launched a mobile app for smartphones and tablets to allow independent financial advisors and financial services firm executives to keep tabs on important advocacy issues and contact their local lawmakers.
The app gives advisors “the mobility they need to speak with one voice and influence the regulatory and legislative processes on the go,” FSI said. The app “will put all aspects of FSI’s online Advocacy Action Center at the fingertips of its members.”
The FSI Advocacy App features include:
- Instant Calls-to-Action on industry-critical issues
- Real-time news alerts
- Current petitions relative to different states
- Complete listing of elected officials at all levels of government
- Complete listing of FSI’s 2012 advocacy priorities
- Top issues effecting businesses and FSI’s involvement
- Information on FSI’s PAC
- Voter registration
- Social media interaction
FSI president and CEO Dale Brown (left) said FSI is “excited to bring the first advocacy app in our industry to our members and valued sponsors.”
With the ever-increasing need “to not only advocate but to do so at a moment’s notice, going mobile is critical to success. FSI has worked diligently this year to improve our members’ virtual experience through a new website homepage, a revamped Advocacy Action Center and a rapidly growing social media presence. In this crucial election year, it is critical that our members are provided the framework necessary to take meaningful action, and to take that action on the go.”
