Shares of networking equipment vendor Acme Packet (APKT) were halted before the company reported Q2 revenue and profit more or less in-line Q2, in keeping with a warning two weeks ago, and cut its year EPS view below analysts’ estimates.
Revenue in the three months ended in June fell 15%, year over year, to $67.6 million, yielding EPS of 13 cents.
Analysts had been modeling $67.3 million and 13 cents.
For the full year, the company sees revenue in a range of $270 million to $275 million, and EPS of 43 cents to 47 cents. That is below the original forecast of 96 cents to $1 per share offered back on February 2nd. It is also below the average view of $302.6 million and 76 cents for this year.
