Aruba Networks (ARUN) this morning said it will acquire Azalea Networks, a provider of outdoor mesh networks, for at least $27 million in stock, plus up to $13 million in cash over two years depending on performance.
In an interview with Tech Trader Daily, Aruba COO Hitesh Sheth said Azalea has 108 employees, most of them in Beijing, with about 10 in Milpitas. He said the deal should close in the company’s August quarter, and should be accretive to FY 2011 results.
Azalea had 2009 revenue of about $5 million.
ARUN today is up $1.01, or 9.4%, to $11.81.
