Nokia (NOK) holds a meeting with shareholders next week, and as Reuters notes, CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo will find himself addressing a highly frustrated group, thanks to the company’s deteriorating financial performance.
The piece asserts that Kallasvuo, “who has spent more than half of his life at the company,” could be ousted if the company can’t come up with a serious challenge to the Apple (AAPL) iPhone by the holiday selling season. Nokia in particular is struggling to get traction in the U.S., where it has just 7% market share.
On the other hand, note that the company’s global market share is actually up from a year ago.
