Verizon Wireless (VZ, VOD) continues to cut prices on Palm (PALM) smart phones.
As C.L. King analyst Lawrence Harris notes, the carrier is now offering the Pre Plus for $49.99; at launch in January the phone had been priced at $149.99. The Pixi Plus is down to $29.99, from $99.99 in January. The cost of the monthly hotspot service associated with the two models, he adds, “is apparently being slashed to zero,” from $40 a month. Both phones also comes with a BOGO offer; buy one, get one free.
Dumping inventory, are we?
PALM is up 15 cents, or 4%, to $3.91.
