Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) and AMC Networks (NASDAQ:AMCX)?have announced a?multi-year licensing deal to make the previous seasons of AMC’s original series, The Walking Dead, available exclusively to Netflix members. The Walking Dead’s first season is available today to Netflix subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.
The agreement will also offer additional seasons of The Walking Dead and additional shows from AMC and the Sundance Channel. These episodes will be available instantly to Netflix members through streaming prior to the show’s premiere of subsequent seasons.
In addition to The Walking Dead,?Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) also has U.S. licensed non-exclusive rights to select scripted and unscripted shows after the season’s debut from AMC Networks offerings that includes AMC, IFC,?Sundance Channel, and WE TV.
