Visa Beats EPS Expectations, But Shares Dip

Visa (V) beat analysts’ fourth quarter earnings expectations but shares fell about 2.5% immediately after the release.

Visa posted$1.27 of EPS, 2 cents ahead of analysts’ expectations. the company also reaffirmed its 2012 guidance. Revenues came in at $2.38 billion, in line with expectations for $2.39 billion.

“Payments volume growth, on a constant dollar basis, for the three months ended June 30, 2011, on which fiscal fourth quarter service revenue is recognized, was a positive 14% over the prior year at $941 billion.”
